Amara's journey began after a near-death experience at the age of 5 in the deep end of a swimming pool. As the daughter of a preacher, an NYU Arts undergraduate, a Mensa candidate, and a professional actress, in 1999 she turned to her passion for yoga and spirituality, embarking on a remarkable journey that spans over 20 years of dedicated self-discovery and spiritual exploration. After studying and teaching Yoga and meditation for 12 years, working with a Filipino energy healer for 5 years, and receiving daily private Buddhist Dzogchen teachings for 2 years while sponsoring a female Lama in Singapore, Amara transitioned from seeking to finding what she had been searching for all along. In 2012, while teaching and traveling from India to the jungles of Malaysia, she confronted her existential crisis, leading to a profound awakening that left her in a period of extraordinary bliss for 7 months and initiated an intensive body, mind and spirit integration process for 3 years that continues to deepen to this day.
How it came to be
Since 2012, spanning a decade of profound post-awakening development, encouraged by her Lama to teach "outside of the order" - meaning without robes while maintaining her Bodhisattva vow of service - Amara worked through word of mouth, with thousands of private clients, students, and group participants from more than 35 countries.
In this time Amara has developed her unique blend of accelerated guidance - The InnerGuidance Method™.
InnerGuidance acknowledges that we experience ourselves physically, emotionally, psychologically and even meta-physically. It allows our full human intelligence into the inquiry-based guidance process creating the opportunity for true embodied clarity.
When three different people in one week asked Amara, “Can you teach me how to do what you’re doing?” She set her focus on creating certification trainings.
During this time, Amara meticulously refined her unique methodology, which has been proven effective for individuals of all kinds, from teenagers to tech founders, seeking greater inner understanding and fulfillment in life, love, and legacy.
Through organic growth starting on her living room floor, Amara, using her insight and methodology, became a ‘secret weapon’ for accelerating success:
